I mostly attended FLC online however the in-person experiences I have had have been good, the campus is very modern and clean and they are constantly updating things. The staff is very qualified and offers a great curriculum. You will have a lot of access to help from counselors and be supported no matter which path you choose to transfer to a 4-year college or workforce.
FLC may not be the "true" college experience however they do try and give you as much of a typical college experience as possible.
It is a very good place to complete general education there and get started on your major before transferring to a 4 year. The counselors and teachers are knowledgeable and very helpful and kind and very engaging and ready to help students. I have been able to sketch out a comprehensive education plan with several counselors who are available throughout the week and make the process easy to understand and not as stressful. The classes are a very manageable size to enable and ensure enough one-on-one learning and help from the teacher and feedback on questions and assignments before and after class. Overall it has been a good experience and made college easier than anticipated.
I attended where we still had many classes purely online so if people have issues learning online and teaching themselves be sure to look for classes that are in person. Folsom Lake College is starting to bring back many of its in-person classes now that the threat of COVID19 has lessened but be sure to check if classes are online or in person. Other than that I had no complaints to the school as the situation couldn't be helped due to a worldwide pandemic and no one was to blame for the sacrifices and compromises we all had to make.
I really enjoyed attending Folsom Lake and learned a lot. It was a great environment for me to explore different majors and find out what I was truly interested in. The staff and other students were all amazing.
The majority of classes were still online. Being online made it hard for me to get the whole college experience at Folsom Lake. The class that I did attend on campus and in person were fantastic.
I love how many courses are available despite having a small campus. The campus is full of beautiful architecture and art, and every employee there wants to help you do your best!
The way you enroll for classes online can be very confusing and hard to navigate. The counseling office also tends to be rude.
I love how interested the professors are in what they teach and how nice all the students are.
