I love how Fisk faculty, students, and alumni welcome everyone like one big family. The professors genuinely care about the students.
I don’t like the food that’s served in the cafe. I also don’t like how Fisk doesn’t have a fully online learning option.
One's experience at Fisk University is up to them. When I first came to the school every senior would tell incoming first-year students "your experience is what you make it." This statement is true as I made strong connections with my teachers and friends who'll be by my side for years to come. If you are struggling with your classes there are many options to get help. Fisk University is an excellent choice for a school.
I have food allergies, gluten-free and vegan, and the school wasn't the best when it came to having good options for me. In addition, the dorms are older and they don't do as many maintenance upgrades as they should.
I love the small campus since it brings a family atmosphere to life on campus. The student-to-faculty ratio is small, so you get to know your professors on a personal level. There are a lot of opportunities both career-wise and social-wise available to students.
The faulty does not always respond to student issues on time. The food could be better, but it is fair.
