The professors were very understanding of my learning disabilities and also being military. they worked around my deployment schedule and helped me understand the material better if I was struggling.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Some professors went into extreme detail and could be occasionally difficult to keep up with.

I am actually pursuing an online degree for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This is the worldwide campus. The online program reminds me of studies that I would have done throughout on-campus studies. The embry community is very organized and the advisors that are assigned to students are always on top of their game to ensure students are on the right track towards the successful completion of their degree. I have a few pointers to assist with getting through Embry-Riddle.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Pointers: Firstly, ensure that you have a very good laptop to be able to work well with the Embry-Riddle website and canva where you will submit all your assignments. Throughout the period of course, you might be required to download various applications in order to complete assignments. Apply for financial aid, look out for any institutional scholarships or any scholarship at all that the school might have to offer. Ask advisors for a degree map to help you to track the courses you have per semester. The email medium is heavily used by Embry-riddle to communicate. Make sure you're able to access your email by phone as well as your laptop. Your phone will make it a bit easier and more convenient to keep up to date with important information. Always read the course announcements so you can be aware of what each week requires. Always make note of what your instructor requires of you. Some instructors can be a bit more lenient than some in terms of grading and late submissions. In terms of other things that you need to know, you'll be okay because the school makes it easy for people to understand what they're required to do. Always check your to-do list on the home page to be notified of any outstanding documents and tuitions. Whether you're going to be online or on-campus, please to make the most out of your experience. You'll love embry-riddle!

I love the environment. Everyone is so nice and helpful, the curriculum is fun and the classes are fun. The instructors are the best I think I've ever had. They're so nice and helpful and make learning so much fun.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

I don't like that the only physical campuses are Prescott and Daytona Beach. Though I would love to venture into those, it is hard to do when your whole life is miles away and can only do online. I miss interacting with people in person but it's the only option for my current situation and if I choose to transfer to a physical campus, it's a huge process.

I like how the teachers are always available for questions.

It is in an online school that helps students knock out those classes that could help advance their degree.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Some professors answer late with questions received. There are not much social clubs (fighting for that).

Board Games And Puzzles

Through Embry-Riddle, I am able to engage with people from a multitude of backgrounds and experience the perspective of thousands of others. Embry-Riddle is for students who aren't just looking for a diploma at the end of their college experience, but to learn new skills that will impact their future.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Be prepared to be flexible. Life happens and you need to be able to account for missteps and mistakes. Utilize your education staff when issues arrive to mitigate negative impacts.
