DSC is growing exponentially & I absolutely love the continuous activities & experiences.
There should be better quality food in the vending machines & more food vendors throughout campus. I am in the Health Professionals building which is at the far end of the campus & all food services are located at the opposite end of campus. Not enough time between classes to grab food.
Dalton state is a very affordable school and it has a very suitable environment for interaction in class especially with professors because the student to teacher ratio is very small
Dalton State College has given me a chance to be a self sufficient young man. I have learned how to apply myself, stand up for myself and have fun with scheduled events. The facilities are nice and the food is great.
Freshman dorms are small. Not the traditional college, we have most classes online.
Dalton state is a very welcoming college, and even if most of my experience of their education was good, there were some moments that it wasn't due to the teachers. Some teachers I had didn't teach the subject well enough and had the whole class fail halfway through the semester that even with the help of the labs couldn't help them or me. So many, including me, had to drop the course and retake it the next semester. So before you sign up for classes here, it's best to research and see the reviews on the teachers. Most of them are good, but there are some bad ones.
What I didn't like about the college was that they keep changing the students' advisors each semester and that some won't even contact the student or even have a way the contact them. Also, some students may have trouble with their FAFSA not going through, etc., involving with their FAFSA and that the business office seems not to be able to help them, so they either won't be taken their course that semester or they layout of pocket.
I liked the opportunities to have hands-on experience in labs with things you normally wouldn't get to use.
Pick your professors wisely. Ecore is a no if possible.
