WHAT I LIKED

While nursing is hard the nursing program at MCC prepares its students well for the nclex licensing exam. Most students pass on their first try. They are connected to public hospitals so it opens up an opportunity to work at those hospitals after you graduate.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Sometimes professors can be unhelpful, advisors don’t know the prereqs needed for the nursing program so I would suggest speaking to the nursing program directly.

WHAT I LIKED

My favorite thing about BMCC is the teachers. I was lucky to find passionate and supportive teachers. They all have unique ways of teaching; if you need help or extension, all you have to do is reach out and ask. They have many great and supportive programs like BLA. Members get assigned to an advisor. My advisor was great! he supported me, pushed, gave me options, and always made sure that I could register for the semester early on. My classmates were passionate. Everyone knew what they wanted and did their best to get it.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

Everyone's experience is different; I don't have anything I hate. But my advice will be to register for classes early and join programs like BLA or Asap; these programs help with advisors, MetroCards, seminars, etc... Rate your professor.
