College of San Mateo is not a school to live at as they have no dorms. Their campus is phenomenal, and their food court has a ton of options. The academics there are amazing and they have a ton of community support. It's an internationally recognized college, even though it's a community college. That says something pretty big in my opinion.
It can be hard to make friends, but I'm sure that it is a different experience when you are learning in person.
I like that all the staff really push you to pursue whatever you dream of. They're very kind, yet they won't hold your hand the whole way and will propel you to make your own decisions and seek the full potential of your education.

I would say that the teachers and counselors are very hands-on and show that they truly care about helping students may it be with financial aid or with their graduation plans, they are very helpful with everything!
I think the only thing was that it was often hard to get in touch with the financial aid office in the beginning but I believe it may be because of the understaffing in the pandemic.
