When I first visited I just knew instantly that this was the one. It felt more homey and secure than all the other colleges I visited. One thing that I loved was their cat room in the laundry room that they have
The tuition, but every college is expensive!
Although COVID-19 has a HUGE impact on how students and professors interact with one another, it's still a great space to be a part of. There are always ongoing opportunities for those who want to be a part of fraternities, scholarships, clubs, societies, etc. The social life is personally great, it's never too loud or too quiet as well. You could always find places to go out or you could also almost always find places to sit down, relax, have a cup of coffee, and study.
Personally, there was not a thing I didn't like about Stanislaus. Tuition is affordable, opportunities are open, and staff and students are amazing. I guess I just wished there were more buildings to go into and explore.
The Computer Science department is small so the availability of classes is a big issue at this campus but the professors truly care about you here and want you to succeed. The campus is gorgeous and there was a newly built student center the year that I graduated that is super nice. There are usually lots of events going on on campus that students can participate in.
Department is small and availability of classes sucks. It was almost impossible to get into the classes you wanted.
I think CSU Stanislaus offers opportunities and good scheduling that is best for those living in large places such as Modesto and Turlock.
Overall, I don't think there are any problems with CSU Stanislaus.
The professors at CSU Stanislaus are very helpful and have taught me a lot. They are great at giving you honest feedback and helping you improve. They give you many opportunities to grow and improve.
I started Stanislaus before COVID and there were so many things to do. Every Wednesday leadership had activities to do outside. There were also a lot of activities planned, like movies.
At the moment I don't think I dislike anything about Stan State.
