It has the feel of a large public university but the close relationship community of a small private college. Within your department, you often begin to know and connect with every faculty member. There are multiple hands-on experiences that allow our students to gain real-life knowledge for their careers.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
Because it's been a less popular university in the past, the space is not accommodated with the number of students coming onto campus. Parking can be difficult to find and traffic can get blocked going in and out of campus.
I liked the professors the most. My academics are very important to me and I can honestly say I had supportive professors throughout my two years there willing to help at any moment. They are very understanding and fair.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
I did not enjoy the limited food options. I also wish there was a dining hall for students who live on campus that includes a meal plan because the food options are somewhat unhealthy but also expensive.
I love the professors in the Health and Human Services (public health) college. I have only had one professor I didn't particularly care for, and I only have a couple more classes to go. I love the study environment the library provides and the available resources on campus, like help with technology.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
The only thing I have had an issue with is a fee that showed up on my account that I was not expecting, and when I inquired about what it was for, I was never able to get an answer.
While we do our best to show up-to-date information, due to COVID-19 and other factors out of our control, it is possible that the data we are showing about test requirements, application deadlines, and more, are inaccurate. Please verify with the college itself via their website to ensure you are aware of all requirements and deadlines.
