I love that the school is there for all of our needs at any time.
the last-minute decisions on financial aid.
As the oldest HBCU in Maryland, it seems to be pretty in what it teaches and offers to students. All the instructors want the best for all their students, so much so they are willing and capable of giving anyone an internship or a job on the campus. All instructors make sure all studies get the material before moving on to something more complicated. As for social life, they have a small campus so it's easy to get around and find something new going on like parties or academic events.
The campus is almost in the middle of nowhere so it's hard to get around outside the campus. On top of that, there isn't much on campus. Despite that, it's a great place to be and learn/have fun. They offer rides to go to a certain place, so that's a big help.
Amazing value for the education received and the new state-of-the-art buildings are unmatched.
Sometimes administration is not as responsive as you would like.
I like how easy it is to reach out to academic advisors and other staff. Everyone is nice and the classes are great.
The only thing I have not liked is the lack of inclusivity of other ethnicities.
I like that Bowie State is the first HBCU in the state of Maryland, it's a safe campus that takes pride in the safety and education of its students.
What I liked about Bowie State University was the improvement of the campus from a new dorm hall, the student center, and the math and science building. I also like most of the professors I had, their work was challenging but was able to be accomplished.
Expect to have a bit of complication with financial aid help.
