SAN FRANCISCO (JANUARY 08, 2021) – Bold.org, the scholarship platform committed to fighting student debt through philanthropy, launches a Year of Giving Campaign for 2021. Each month, Bold.org will announce a new $10,000 scholarship in partnership with impact-focused public figures and brands. The Year of Giving Campaign will culminate in December 2021 with the organization’s largest scholarship yet for $100,000.

To commence the Year of Giving Campaign, Bold.org announces The 3LAU "Everything" Scholarship for $10,000 with philanthropic entrepreneur, producer and DJ, Justin Blau — AKA 3LAU. The scholarship celebrates 3LAU’s 30th birthday and upcoming single, “Everything” debuting on January 22nd. As an entrepreneur and philanthropist, 3LAU has strived to give back to his community and those in need. In 2016, the thriving DJ founded the first non-profit EDM label, Blume Records, where all profits go toward charities such as Pencils of Promise. Today, 3LAU has generated several hundred thousand dollars for charitable causes. The 3LAU “Everything” Scholarship is part of the DJ’s overarching mission to use his success to positively impact others.

The Year Of Giving Campaign 2021 comes off the heels of a successful philanthropic 2020 at Bold.org. Last year, the organization created hundreds of brand new scholarships with partner organizations and individual donors as part of its mission to fight student debt. The Year of Giving Campaign follows previous initiatives such as National Scholarship Month in November, where Bold.org awarded a scholarship a day for an entire month. Bold.org continues its efforts with the Year of Giving Campaign to combat America’s student debt.

Bold.org CEO and Founder, Dror Liebenthal, says: “The Year of Giving Campaign is our way of partnering with like-minded individuals and brands who care about fighting student debt. We’re excited to kick off this initiative with 3LAU and further the impact he’s already had in expanding access to education. Through our monthly partnerships, the Year of Giving Campaign will fund a total of $220,000 of new scholarships for Americans fighting student debt.”

DJ and Producer, 3LAU, says: “I’m thrilled to be the first partner for Bold.org’s Year of Giving Campaign. The 3LAU ‘Everything’ Scholarship celebrates my upcoming new single, and it also marks a milestone on my 30th Birthday. Since entering the music industry, I have been committed to focusing my passion and success toward good causes — many times within education. This year, I’m asking that my fans come together; I want them to join me in contributing to the scholarship so we can award this incredible opportunity to someone who really needs it.”

The 3LAU “Everything” Scholarship is now live on Bold.org’s scholarship platform and is available for upcoming and current college students to apply before June 20, 2021. To be considered for The 3LAU "Everything" Scholarship, eligible applicants can create a Bold.org profile and submit a short written answer along with a link to an original song, dance, or art piece that represents their everything. In addition to the year-long campaign, candidates can apply to hundreds of exclusive new scholarships on Bold.org's platform, with new scholarships going live daily. To join Bold.org in fighting America’s student debt crisis, donors can create their own custom scholarship by creating a profile at www.bold.org.
