When high school came to a near end the idea of not going to college was out of question, it was "tradition" in the family to uphold to some higher education. The only problem with it was the financial issues, I attended a community college prior to my current private University because I was the first of the family to attend a college and my family didn't understand much of how it worked, so whatever was cheaper is really whatever I had to aim for. After finishing a 2 year college I realized that I can't really let the money get in the way, how else will I pursue my dream career in medicine? So I applied to my current private 41,000$ uni and decided that with the way that I study there is no doubt in my mind that I will become an Occupational Therapist and I will pay off whatever has to be payed off when the time comes. It's a scary thought really, thinking about how much I'd have to pay off but I'm doing all this with the idea of a future family in the back of my mind, along with the dream of having my own business as manager of a clinic full of O.T and P.T.. In 4 weeks I'm actually going to be flying to Europe to study abroad, something I dream of and never thought I would do in a million years. But I did it, I took out a loan from Discover Students and decided to enjoy my time in college as in a few years I'll regret worrying about finances so much.
