I am currently going to school full time at WKCTC in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. I am one of 12 people in the program. It is a selective admissions program based on test scores and grades. I have no free time outside of school because I am kept busy with assignments, studying, and projects. My week consists of going to class or clinical 5 days a week. Since the age of 17 I have always had a job, but now that I am finally in my program, I have chosen not to work during this first semester due to the course load. I want to be successful in my program, and so far my grades reflect that. I chose sonography because I want to be able to help people. Many people assume that as an ultrasound tech, that all we do is take pictures, however, there is a lot more to being a sonographer then taking pictures. I am the eyes of the radiologist, I see first hand what is going on within someone's body. I was very lucky to be accepted into this program, and I want to be able to graduate with not only my degree, but also debt free.
