I always put others ahead of myself. I prioritize my peers and families desires before mine. I enjoy helping others with their goals before I’d help myself with my own. This may not be the most efficient way of succeeding in High school, but I naturally feel most content with myself when I know I’ve contributed to someone else’s success. I am very curious. I like to try new things whether it’s food, the study of cultures, instruments, music styles, and clothing. I’m very open-minded and enjoy changing things up. I am the kind of person who is optimistic and likes to explore new ways of doing things. Singing is my passion. With the stress of IB and countless exams, IA’s, tests, etc., singing always calms me down. It’s an outlet, an escape from the overwhelmingness of school and work. My motivation is my mom, she traveled to this country and made it on her own. She was the top of her class in Russia and wanted to challenge herself. She came to our country and finished her Masters here while raising me. I am very proud of her accomplishments, and I try to show my appreciation every day. Without her, I wouldn’t have had a ride to each soccer game/practice, each swim meet, each choir concert, or each extra shift I took at work. She has provided me the life that I am so grateful for.
