I thought I was slow. when we were learning new things I felt like I was always three steps back. Once I got older, I gave up. When I turned 20 my sister gave me a folder that was full of school papers, evaluations from teachers. Every teacher said I would do better if I actually was in class. it hit me. My mother would take me out of school for some reason and take me with her to her drug dealers. I have always been set back because of this reason. Im not slow I just wasn't present. Once I realized this it gave me hope for college that I thought I could never do and succeed. I knew it would be hard but so far I have done well. I am the first in my family to go to college. Neither of my parents even finished high school. I am determined to graduate with at least a 3.0! Nothing will stop me. Personally, I am Active duty in the Army and Married an active duty Army man also. Our life gets a little hectic sometimes. When we have time for activities we love to go outdoors and adventure or do something childish like laser tag. I am outgoing and love to try new things. I like to challenge and better myself. I am up for a journey and I am ready!
